Studying towards an MBBS in China is 70% cheaper than undertaking a similar program in the US or UK. The US MD program course (equivalent to MBBS) cost around USD 160,000-200,000. This excludes four years of Pre-med study. While a student can complete an MBBS course from any of the China's medical university list for 6 years for only USD 30,000 – 50,000. Compared to the rest of the world the fees charged for MBBS courses in China are expansively reasonable. The charges of tutoring in the universities in China are subsidized by the Ministry of Public Health of the Chinese Government. All in all, It is very economical for international students to study in China.

Education in [HUST]

One of the top 10 universities in China. The English taught MBBS program which is hosted by Tongji Medical College is worth to take. One of the most prestigious in Engineering: it ranks No.2 in Optical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Most of the teaching staff are friendly and willing to help you out regarding difficulties with assignments, or topics you don't understand.

The laboratories and classrooms are fully equipped. Separate hostel accommodation for the international students with fully equipped Apartment type rooms. Banks, Post office, Telephone booths, Supermarkets, Recreations centre are available inside the campus. Compare with the universities in Beijing or Shanghai, the living expense in HUST is quite low. With the same amount, you can get the high quality life style in Wuhan. The campus and the facilities are satisfactory. The campus is huge and the shuttle buses are provided for campus transport.

The HUST staff are very helpful and friendly. The international students office takes good care of all the students, they make sure you have accommodation, help you with your visa issues and anything else that you are not sure about. Lots of after school Programs organized by Chinese students, such as Chinese corner, where you can go make Chinese friends and practice language and learn about Chinese culture.

There are four libraries at HUST: the Old Library, the Shaw Library (New Library), the Medical Library and the Architecture Library. The Old Library and the Shaw Library are located in the center of main campus. The Old Library was designed and constructed in Soviet-Union style in the 1950s. It plays a major role in book circulation and conference hosting. It also provides classrooms for audio-video teaching program and some group-study programs.

The first floor of the east wing is the Center for Reader's Services, which is a branch of University Bookstore System. The Shaw Library was donated by Sir Run Run Shaw and built in 1990s. It has more than 30 reading rooms, including Chinese/English social sciences reading rooms, Chinese/English natural sciences reading rooms, Chinese/English archive reading rooms and electronic journal reading rooms. It also houses a multi-media center and a major branch of Center for Computing & Networking.

Medical Library is located in Tongji Medical Campus in Hankou. It provides the same services to the medical students as the libraries in main campus. The Architecture Library is on the east side of the main campus. It accommodates books and journals in architecture and urban planning. The University Libraries have a total collection of 3.49 million volumes.

Our two convention halls have a seating capacity of 330 and 220 people respectively, equipped with advanced multi-media devices and four-channeled simultaneous interpretation systems. There are also 16 meeting rooms eligible for seminars or discussions.
Guest Rooms
The Room Service Center has 9 guest buildings, containing over 500 rooms/suites, ranging from deluxe suites, single rooms, standard rooms to triple rooms. The center is complete with facilities of central air-conditioning, hot water supply, satellite TV, and domestic and international direct dial telephone. Elegantly decorated, the rooms/suites are clean, comfortable and convenient. The guests are provided with all kinds of convenience services and ensured to feel at home during the stay.
The Yu Garden Restaurant serves both Chinese and Western cuisines, capable of holding banquets or buffets for 350 people. It also has deluxe rooms of all sizes with Karaoke facilities, which are elegant and comfortable. The guests can order either la carte or table d’h te. With superior cooking, fresh cuisines, quality services, and inexpensive prices, Yu Garden offers an ideal place for having meals or holding banquets.
Travel & Ticket
Reception Service’s Travel Service, approved by the State Tourism Administration and registered as Wuhan HUST Huayu Travel Service Co.Ltd., provides touring services as well as airline, train, ship and long-distance bus ticket booking services. The Travel Service stages a variety of tours to places within and outside Hubei, catering for different demands of tourists. Travel with Huayu and you will definitely enjoy the tours. Telephones At present all our dormitories are fixed with 201 telephones, and each 50 to 100 meters on campus stand telephone booth, all of which are 201 or IC card telephones. And the telephone cards can be bought from the post offices and the supermarkets.
Equipped with advanced facilities, the bodybuilding room is an ideal place for doing exercises.

Situated in South-central China, Hubei Province features a subtropical monsoon climate. The average temperature for a year is about 15° C (59° F). The Province has distinct four seasons with burning hot summer (June, July and August) and chilly winter (December, January and February). The hottest month, July, averaging 27-30°C and the coldest month, January, 1-5°C. Wuhan, the capital city in Hubei Province, is known as one of the ‘four stoves’ in China because the torrid climate in summer (there are more than 20 days with the temperature above 35° C or 95° F. The mountainous districts of western Hubei, in particular Shennongjia, with their cooler summers, attract numerous visitors from Wuhan and other lowland cities.

The annual rainfall in Hubei Province is between 800-1600mm on average. Summer is the wettest month in Hubei with 300-700mm in average. Hubei’s driest season is Winter, with average rainfall at 30-190mm. The period from mid-June to mid-July is called the plum rain season in Hubei as the rainfall in this time reaches the peek in the year.
